Baseball Recap: Bethlehem Has No Trouble Against Emmanuel Christian

Bethlehem's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Emmanuel Christian Warriors 15-0. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.

Clayton Marshall made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI. Bethlehem is undefeated when Marshall posts two or more runs, but 1-4 otherwise.

In other batting news, Bethlehem got a massive performance out of Kason Paul, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Paul is becoming a predictor of the Wildcats' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 0-4 when he doesn't). Daiden Hardy also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Bethlehem was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Bethlehem's record is now 6-4. As for Emmanuel Christian, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Bethlehem didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-1 win against Gadsden County on the 31st. As for Emmanuel Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 15-5 defeat against Daleville on the 2nd.
