Basketball Recap: Colbert Heights Comes Up Short

Colbert Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 35-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sheffield Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 40-35 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2022.

Colbert Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Sheffield, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colbert Heights and Central will compete for holiday cheer at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Sheffield, they are taking a road trip to square off against Mars Hill Bible at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mars Hill Bible knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Sheffield likes a good challenge.
