Caden Clay Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Thursday, Northside got the W thanks in part to Caden Clay playing the best football he has all season. Clay rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also threw for 126 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 passes.
Northside pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Clay and Northside will face off against Starr's Mill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Starr's Mill picked up their eighth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Lincoln Delaere. Harris County had no answer to Delaere as he picked up 124 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 53 yards and a touchdown.
Starr's Mill's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Delaere and Starr's Mill will host Northside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Jai Jackson Goes Supernova in Northside Victory
Jai Jackson put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in September of 2023 on Thursday. He rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries.
On the season, Jackson has averaged 18.2 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 36.5 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 70.83 rushing yards.

Northside was led to victory by Tye Bias, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Bias picked up two sacks and made six total tackles (3.0 for loss).
On the season, Bias has averaged 5.9 total tackles per game and for the season has 3 sacks. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging two total tackles per game.
