Baseball Recap: Palm Springs Takes a Loss

Palm Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the La Quinta Blackhawks, falling 7-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Blackhawks this season, with their most recent defeat being a 11-0 loss back in March.

Palm Springs saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ian Ernesto Arroyo, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Palm Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for La Quinta, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palm Springs will venture away from home to square off against Troy at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for La Quinta, they will head out to challenge La Habra at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
