Seventy-First has gone a perfect 7-0 against South View recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Falcons will host the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Seventy-First is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.
On Friday, Seventy-First got the win against Westover by a conclusive 36-13. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won four games by 20 points or more so far this season.

Jayson Franklin had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 228 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 13.4 yards per carry, and also picking up 35 receiving yards and one TD. Those 228 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. R'Maunni Watson was another key player, throwing for 43 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Seventy-First was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 238 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westover only rushed for -3.
Meanwhile, South View entered their matchup against St. Pauls on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Tigers were just a hair shy of victory and fell 27-26 to the Bulldogs. While the Tigers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 6-0 in the first quarter.
The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Cristian Simmons and Yoshua McBryde. McBryde had a great game and rushed for 140 yards and one score. Meanwhile, Simmons was balling out in the loss, rushing for 160 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also picking up 36 receiving yards.
Seventy-First's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for South View, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-4.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Seventy-First has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 275.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like South View struggles in that department as they've been averaging 233.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Seventy-First against South View in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 56-22 win. In that matchup, the Falcons amassed a halftime lead of 42-22, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
