Soccer Recap: Scripps Ranch Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Scripps Ranch and Calexico squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Scripps Ranch had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Calexico Bulldogs. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to them when the teams met back in December of 2018, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Scripps Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Calexico, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 20 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Scripps Ranch does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Calexico, they will take on Point Loma at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Point Loma will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Calexico surely won't give up without a fight.
