Baseball Game Preview: West Fork Gators vs. Vidor Pirates

The West Fork Gators will square off against the Vidor Pirates at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (West Fork: 3.2, Vidor: 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

West Fork fell victim to Cleveland and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 2-0. The Gators' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Vidor waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They skirted past the Bobcats 8-6.

Jett Brucia was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one triple. Those runs marked the first that he scored this season. Another player making a difference was David Davis, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Vidor's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for West Fork, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
