The matchup between Monroe Area and Ola on Thursday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Purple Hurricanes blew past the Mustangs 7-1. Monroe Area might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by four goals or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Monroe Area and bumps their season record up to 6-10. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those two contests. As for Ola, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-4.

Coming up, Monroe Area will venture away from home to take on Lake Oconee Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Ola does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
