Goose Creek Memorial barely beat Dobie the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Patriots were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Longhorns on Friday. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Longhorns recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

While Goose Creek Memorial might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Dobie scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-20, 28-26.

Goose Creek Memorial's offense was headlined by Lanae DuBose and Carrine Bouie, who picked up eight kills apiece. Bouie really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 13. Brooke Thomas controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Goose Creek Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Dobie, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
