Basketball Recap: Cameron Cramble's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Irondale over Forest Lake

Irondale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 65-59 heartbreaker at the hands of the Forest Lake Rangers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 75-49 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cameron Cramble, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Dedominces, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 17 points.

Irondale's record now sits at 4-9. As for Forest Lake, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-9.

Irondale has already played their next match (against Roseville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Forest Lake will look to defend their home court on Friday against East Ridge at 7:00 p.m. East Ridge knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Forest Lake likes a good challenge.
