Softball Recap: Lyle/Pacelli Comes Up Short

Lyle/Pacelli was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 26th straight defeat dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 9-5 to the Glenville-Emmons Wolverines, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Athletics of the 15-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Lyle/Pacelli's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Glenville-Emmons, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lyle/Pacelli will host Spring Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.2 runs per game on average), something the Athletics will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Glenville-Emmons, they will square off against Nicollet at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
