Softball Recap: Aiken Takes a Loss

Aiken was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 7-2 to the Airport Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 on Tuesday.

Aiken saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Hopkins, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

Aiken's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Airport, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aiken will challenge Gilbert at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Airport, they will square off against South Aiken at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
