Baseball Recap: Raymond Victorious

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Raymond ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Newfound Regional Bears, sneaking past 5-3. While the Rams didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-10), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Raymond's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Newfound Regional, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Raymond is set to square off against their familiar foe Campbell at 4:00 p.m. on May 5. Meanwhile, Newfound Regional will challenge rival Prospect Mountain at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
