Softball Recap: Ludlow Takes a Loss

Ludlow lost against Monson back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lions came up short against the Mustangs, falling 17-9. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caitlyn Peczka was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Peczka, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Ludlow's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Monson, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Ludlow will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Hoosac Valley at 4:30 p.m. As for Monson, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Belchertown at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
