Baseball Recap: St. Peter's Prep Takes a Loss

St. Peter's Prep fell victim to Bergen Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Crusaders. The defeat continues a trend for the Marauders in their meetings with the Crusaders: they've now lost five in a row.

St. Peter's Prep saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lorenzo Camilleri, who went 3-for-4 with one double.

St. Peter's Prep's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Bergen Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

St. Peter's Prep and Bergen Catholic should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings. The Marauders will face off against Memorial at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (33 vs. 187). Meanwhile, Bergen Catholic (ranked 12th) will meet Pope John XXIII (ranked 137th) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
