Softball Recap: Osage City Extends Road Winning Streak to 13

Osage City got themselves on the board against Council Grove on Friday, but Council Grove never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Braves with a sharp 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won five matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Osage City pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Council Grove, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Osage City will face off against Baldwin at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Indians will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season. As for Council Grove, they will challenge Trinity Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Braves surely won't give up without a fight.
