Volleyball Recap: Ashley Cauley and Emma Messer Secure Win for Milton

There's no place like home for Milton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Escambia Gators 3-0 on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Milton walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-21, 25-21.

Milton was led to victory by Emma Messer and Ashley Cauley. Messer had 11 assists and four digs, while Cauley had six digs and two aces. That's the most assists Messer has posted over her last three contests.

They weren't the only good servers: Milton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Milton's record now sits at 4-9. As for Escambia, they dropped their record down to 2-10 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Milton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Rocky Bayou Christian on the 18th. As for Escambia, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against West Florida Baptist Academy on the 22nd.
