Soccer Game Preview: Stoneham vs. Wakefield Memorial

The Stoneham Spartans will challenge the Wakefield Memorial Warriors at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Stoneham's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Stoneham fell victim to Belmont and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They came up short against the Marauders, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Stoneham can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 268th, while Belmont are ranked 116th).

Meanwhile, Wakefield Memorial also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell just short of Lexington by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday.

Wakefield Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 5-5-4. As for Stoneham, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11-3.
