Conner kept up with Elder until halftime on Saturday, but afterwards: not so much. The Panthers put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 5-1 win. Considering Elder's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

They hit Conner with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Hudson Ostertag (2), Sam Bill, Adan Morales, and Jaxson Poulos.

Elder's victory bumped their record up to 3-0-2. As for Conner, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elder will challenge St. Xavier at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Conner, they will square off against Lawrenceburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
