Volleyball Recap: Alcorn Central Triumphs

Alcorn Central had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Clinton Arrows by a score of 2-0 on Friday. The Bears have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Arrows, too.

Stella Hollis paced Alcorn Central's offense, picking up six kills. Hollis really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with seven. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Alcorn Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Gulfport on the 1st. As for Clinton, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Lake Cormorant on the 1st.
