Shepard came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Blue Island Eisenhower Cardinals by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Astros, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Shepard was: they took both sets by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-12.

Shepard's victory bumped their record up to 23-9. As for Blue Island Eisenhower, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 19 of their last 20 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-22 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shepard will take on Stagg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
