Basketball Recap: Westwood Comes Up Short

Westwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Skyline Coyotes 62-31. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 43-27 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cj Moore, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 17 points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave Moore a new career-high in points. Peris Crowder was another key player, putting up four points and six rebounds.

Tage Flodstrom was a one-man wrecking crew for Skyline as he went 10 for 20 en route to 26 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Zavier Flores, who posted four points in addition to ten rebounds and eight assists.

Westwood's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Skyline, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-15.

Westwood will welcome Red Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Skyline, they will head out on the road to face off against Dobson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
