Basketball Recap: Wilber-Clatonia Takes a Loss

Wilber-Clatonia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 26th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the David City Scouts and fell 62-24. The Wolverines lost against the Scouts in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 35-30 score last time.

David City's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kamryn Behrns, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine boards. What's more, Behrns posted four steals, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Addison Rands was another key player, en route to 10 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Wilber-Clatonia's defeat dropped their record down to 0-23. As for David City, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-10.

Wilber-Clatonia has already played their next match, a 47-6 loss against Kearney Catholic on the 17th. As for David City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-37 defeat against Holdrege on the 19th.
