Basketball Recap: Riverside Find Success

If Irrigon wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Riverside, they should've done a better job of containing Justien Tido. The Riverside Pirates strolled past the Irrigon Knights with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 49-30 thanks in part to Tido, who posted 19 points. Tido is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Deisy Zavala was another key player, putting up eight points along with five rebounds and three steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2023.

Riverside's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Irrigon, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Riverside will take on Goldendale in a tournament on Thursday. As for Irrigon, they will head out to challenge Umatilla at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
