Basketball Recap: North Paulding Comes Up Short

North Paulding was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost to the Cherokee Warriors at home by a 77-58 margin. While losing is never fun, the Wolfpack can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 312th, while the Warriors are ranked 45th).

North Paulding's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Cherokee, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

North Paulding will take on Marietta at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Paulding is facing Marietta at the right time seeing as Marietta is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Cherokee, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Etowah at 7:30 p.m. Cherokee has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 229 points over their last three matches.
