Softball Recap: Durham Academy Takes a Loss

Durham Academy lost against GRACE Christian back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Cavaliers came up short against the Eagles, falling 12-2. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Durham Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Claire Lynch, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Lynch has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times she's played.

Durham Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for GRACE Christian, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Durham Academy will venture away from home to challenge Ravenscroft at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cavaliers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Ravens have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for GRACE Christian, they will head out to take on Neuse Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
