Softball Recap: Pecos Eagles vs. Greenwood Rangers

Pecos lost against Greenwood back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Pecos fell just short of Greenwood by a score of 10-9. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pecos got a good showing from Brooke G, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, G gave up only zero walks, the fewest she's had since back in February.

On the hitting side, P Rayos and Audri Morales did some serious damage despite the final result: Rayos went 1-for-4 with one home run and five RBI, while Morales went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those five RBI gave Rayos a new career-high. Carriz Hernandez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Pecos' loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Greenwood, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-12-1.
