Basketball Recap: Morgan Kimbrell and Kaleigh Wooldridge Secure Win for Millsap

There's no place like home for Millsap, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They secured a 43-37 W over the Dublin Lions on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 38-37 back in December of 2024.

Millsap was led to victory by Kaleigh Wooldridge and Morgan Kimbrell. Wooldridge almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine steals, while Kimbrell dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 boards. Wooldridge is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 18 games she's played.

Millsap smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dublin only pulled down eight offensive rebounds.

Despite the defeat, Dublin saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Adriana Stewart went 7 for 10 en route to 17 points and six steals. That's the most steals Stewart has posted since back in November of 2024.

Millsap's record is now 5-21. As for Dublin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.

Millsap wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 50-29 loss against Tolar on the 21st. As for Dublin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-47 defeat against Peaster on the 21st.
