Recap: Washougal Panthers vs. Union Titans
The Washougal Panthers lost against the Union Titans back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Washougal received a tough blow as they fell 56-39 to Union.
When it comes to explaining why Washougal lost, one person who can't be blamed is Holden Bea. Despite the final result, he scored eight points along with six rebounds and three steals. Bea has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Evers, who scored six points.
Washougal's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Union, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washougal and R.A. Long will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. R.A. Long presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Washougal in Washington (R.A. Long is ranked 96th, while Washougal is ranked 243rd). Union on the road again on Tuesday and play against Battle Ground at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. One thing working in Battle Ground's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight matches.
