Basketball Recap: Will Lindsay Key Part of a Team Effort in Sentinels Win

There's no place like home for Mountain Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They snuck past the Riverton Silverwolves with a 70-66 win on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Sentinels as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mountain Ridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Will Lindsay, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Langston, who posted 15 points in addition to eight boards and five assists.

Mountain Ridge's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 8-7. As for Riverton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Mountain Ridge and Riverton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Utah Rankings. Mountain Ridge will square off against Bingham at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 46 places (55 vs. 9). Meanwhile, Riverton (ranked 50th) will meet Corner Canyon (ranked eighth) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
