Basketball Recap: Nekoosa Takes a Loss

Nekoosa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the Westfield Area Pioneers, falling 57-15. While losing is never fun, the Papermakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 407th, while the Pioneers are ranked 76th).

Nekoosa's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Westfield Area, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Nekoosa has already played their next game, a 46-31 victory against Wautoma on the 13th. As for Westfield Area, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-33 win against Mauston on the 14th.
