Basketball Recap: Derein Hollman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Tyler Legacy over Aledo

After flying high against Byron Nelson on Friday, Tyler Legacy came back down to earth. The Raiders fell 62-56 to the Aledo Bearcats on Saturday.

Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Derein Hollman, who shot 86% from the field to rack up 15 points and eight rebounds. KJ Cyres was another key player, putting up 11 points and six assists.

Tyler Legacy now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Aledo, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Tyler Legacy will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake Highlands at 1:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Aledo, they will challenge Midlothian Heritage at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
