Khloe Kearns was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, Ava Quigley was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kylynn Maltby, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
The win was the fourth in a row for Beardstown, bringing their record up to 10-1. As for Liberty, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-2.
Coming up, Beardstown will host Pittsfield at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Liberty, they are taking a road trip to face off against North Greene at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
