Baseball Recap: Chicago Academy Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northside, Chicago Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Steinmetz College Prep Silver Streaks with a sharp 9-3 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Cougars have posted against the Silver Streaks since May 11, 2022.

Jayden Glover was excellent, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Josh Casillas was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Chicago Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Steinmetz College Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.
