Softball Recap: Northridge Comes Up Short

Northridge fell victim to Mt. Vernon and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 16-0 to the Yellowjackets, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Northridge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Mt. Vernon, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Northridge will square off against Newark Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mt. Vernon, they will head out to take on Watkins Memorial at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Yellowjackets 2.4, the Warriors 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
