Baseball Recap: Clearfield Comes Up Short

After flying high against Malad last Thursday, Clearfield came back down to earth. The Falcons lost 11-1 to the Fremont Silverwolves on Friday. The game marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Clearfield saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Meyer, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Clearfield's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Fremont, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Clearfield will face off against Woods Cross at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Falcons' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Fremont, they will square off against Farmington at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Silverwolves are facing the Phoenix at the right time seeing as the Phoenix are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
