Basketball Recap: Whetstone's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

Whetstone can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They snuck past the Horizon Science Academy Hawks with a 62-56 win.

Despite the loss, Horizon Science Academy still got an impressive performance from Regan Shozi, who went 6 of 12 en route to 15 points. Thierno Diallo was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to eight boards and six assists.

Whetstone's victory bumped their record up to 2-14. As for Horizon Science Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Centennial the next time they take the court. Whetstone will head out to face Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Horizon Science Academy will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th.
