Basketball Recap: Weleetka Comes Up Short

After flying high against Schulter last Tuesday, Weleetka came back down to earth. The Weleetka Outlaws were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 59-58 to the Sasakwa Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Outlaws can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 339th, while the Vikings are ranked 153rd).

Weleetka's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Sasakwa, their win bumped their record up to 15-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Weleetka will take on Dewar at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sasakwa, they will head out to challenge Earlsboro at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
