Basketball Recap: Shawnee Wins Going Away Against Nathan Hale

Shawnee won against Claremore last Tuesday with 59 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Shawnee Wolves were the clear victor by a 59-38 margin over the Nathan Hale Rangers. While the Wolves didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The victory made it two in a row for Shawnee and bumps their season record up to 6-4. As for Nathan Hale, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Shawnee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-60 loss against East Central on the 18th. As for Nathan Hale, they will square off against Booker T. Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Booker T. Washington knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Nathan Hale likes a good challenge.
