ITW David Speer Academy dropped their record down to 7-7 on Saturday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Westmont Sentinels, falling 11-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pride of the 18-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2022.

ITW David Speer Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonathan Soto, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Soto has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

As for Westmont, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-8-1. The result was nothing new for the Sentinels, who have now won 11 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

On Westmont's side, Ricky Yenkin was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, three runs, and four RBI. Those two triples gave Yenkin a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nikolai Baldwin, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Coincidentally, ITW David Speer Academy and Westmont will both be playing Holy Trinity the next time they take the field. The Sentinels will host the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Pride will head out to face them at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
