Basketball Game Preview: Oakville Acorns vs. Mary M. Knight Owls

The Oakville Acorns will square off against the Mary M. Knight Owls at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Friday, Oakville didn't have quite enough to beat Willapa Valley and fell 42-39. The Acorns haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Mary M. Knight was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by Pe Ell 55-27. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Trojans are ranked 93rd).

Oakville's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Mary M. Knight, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8.

Oakville came out on top in a nail-biter against Mary M. Knight in their previous meeting back in January, sneaking past 46-43. Does Oakville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mary M. Knight turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
