Recap: Grand Ledge Comets vs. Eastern Quakers
The Grand Ledge Comets took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They strolled past Eastern with points to spare, taking the game 62-43. That's another feather in the cap for Grand Ledge, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Grand Ledge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Braden James led the charge by scoring 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elyjah Hendricks, who scored 16 points.
Grand Ledge's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Eastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grand Ledge will take on Petoskey at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Eastern, they will head out on the road to face off against DeWitt at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
