Baseball Recap: Norfork Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Norfork). They walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Concord Pirates on Tuesday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Norfork's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Concord, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Norfork Panthers duke it out with Marshall Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Concord, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Calico Rock at 4:00 p.m. Concord is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
