Basketball Recap: Village Mountaineers vs. Arvada Bulldogs
Village was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Arvada Bulldogs. The Mountaineers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.

Despite the loss, Village still got an impressive performance from James Driggers, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and ten boards. Coming up, Village is headed away from home for the first time to take on Pueblo South at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Arvada, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 56-39 victory against Alameda on the 9th.
