Bayfront Charter had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Ocean View Christian on Tuesday. The Sharks blew past the Patriots 18-3. The win continues a trend for the Sharks in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won six in a row.

Ariana Carbajal was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Carbajal was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Bayfront Charter let Ahloni Garcia and Anahi Del Rosario run wild. Garcia got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Del Rosario went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave Del Rosario a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kailyn Martinez, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Bayfront Charter always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .611. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ocean View Christian only posted an OBP of .429.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-15. As for Ocean View Christian, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bayfront Charter will head out to face off against Chula Vista Learning Community Charter at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ocean View Christian, they will venture away from home to challenge San Diego Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
