Recap: Woodson Warriors vs. Potomac Senior Panthers
On Tuesday, Woodson was beaten by Potomac Senior 83-21. Woodson was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 60-8.
Kenny DeGuzman was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 21 points along with 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Potomac Senior's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Peter Mitchell, who scored 13 points along with 5 steals.
Woodson's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Potomac Senior, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Woodson won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Archbishop Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on December 6th. Archbishop Carroll knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Woodson likes a good challenge. As for Potomac Senior, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Charles J. Colgan at 1:00 p.m. on December 9th.
