Janesville Craig is 0-3 against Sun Prairie East since May of 2024 but things could change on Tuesday. The Cougars will face off against the Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Janesville Craig put up the most runs they have all season on Monday. Everything went their way against Fort Atkinson as they made off with a 19-5 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Janesville Craig got a massive performance out of Brynn Sikich, who went 3-for-6 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. Those three runs gave Sikich a new career-high. Abbie Claas was another key player, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with four runs and one triple.
Janesville Craig always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .566. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Sun Prairie East came tearing into Monday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 13-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won five contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Allison Giese looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Abby Packard was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Ireland, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Sun Prairie East pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average this season. As for Janesville Craig, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-10.
Janesville Craig might still be hurting after the 20-4 defeat they got from Sun Prairie East in their previous matchup on Friday. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
