Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Montgomery Central's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 9-3 to Clarksville.

Noah Suggs was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Evander Powers also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Dickson County's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-16. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Montgomery Central, their loss dropped their record down to 9-16.
