Volleyball Recap: Providence Turns Things Around After Road Loss + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Providence, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Chambers Cougars with a sharp 3-0 victory on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2016.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Providence was: they took every set by at least 16 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-2, 25-8.

Providence found their leader in freshman Allie Johnsey, who had 17 assists and four aces.

Providence was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 22 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Providence now has a winning record of 2-1.

Providence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Union Academy on the 20th. As for Chambers, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Harding University on the 20th.
