It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cape Elizabeth can now relate to. They fell just short of the Fryeburg Raiders by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The Capers' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Cape Elizabeth's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Fryeburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Cape Elizabeth does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fryeburg, they will challenge Medomak Valley on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Raiders 3.3, the Panthers 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
